Carve 4 Cancer is back for our 9th season!

The Ask:

For around 20 local businesses to donate $500 to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation in exchange for a giant pumpkin and a chance to compete in the Best Pumpkin Contest.

The participating businesses carve, decorate, or paint their giant pumpkins, then deliver them to the Windsor Cancer Centre. The patients and staff of the Cancer Centre judge the pumpkins and vote for their favourite using a paper ballot system, and the general public can also cast their vote online via Facebook. The pumpkins with the most ballot votes or likes will be crowned the 2026 Best Pumpkin Contest winners!

The Goal:

Raise $15,000 for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation and, in doing so, surpass a major fundraising milestone of raising a grand total of $100,000 over nine years!

Ways to Win:

1. Patient/Staff Vote: via in-person paper ballots

2. Company/Public Vote: via an online Facebook liking system (1 'like' = 1 vote)

3. Judges' Award: collective decision of a surprise local celebrity judge panel

4. Highest Fundraiser Award: every participant will receive a personal donation link to forward to friends and family. The participant with the most raised beyond their $500 entry fee wins!

Dates:

October 5th-October 16th: Pumpkins are delivered to participating businesses

October 23rd: Optional early delivery day for businesses to deliver their finished pumpkins to the Windsor Cancer Centre

October 25th: Official pumpkin delivery day for finished pumpkins to be delivered to the Windsor Cancer Centre

October 26th: Voting opens

October 30th: Voting closes

October 30th: Awards Ceremony​
